Definition of the word detox

In the 1970s and 1980s, the concept of detox gained popularity in the alternative medicine movement, and it has since become a widespread trend in the health and wellness industry. Despite its widespread use, the scientific evidence supporting the benefits of detoxing is limited, and some authorities have raised concerns about its potential risks and dangers.
